SolarShyne
Privacy Policy
Effective November 2026
SolarShyne provides solar panel and window cleaning in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This policy explains what we collect when you ask for a quote, sign up for a plan, book a visit, or use the customer portal and app, and what we do with it.
PLACEHOLDER — attorney review pending. This page lays out the structure and the operational facts of our policies; the final wording will be confirmed by counsel before launch.
1. What we collect
We collect only what we need to quote, schedule, perform, and bill for service:
- Contact and property details you give us: name, email, phone, service address, and the panel and window counts, roof stories, and access notes used to price your service.
- Account details for the customer portal and app: your email and a password we store only as a one-way hash.
- Service records: visit dates, technician notes, before/after and issue photos of your panels, windows, and roof, water used, and your signed service acknowledgment.
- Messages you exchange with us through the portal, the app, or email.
- Billing records: plan, price, payment status, and the references our payment processor returns. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Technical data from the website and app: pages visited, device type, approximate location from your IP address, and the technician's location at the moment a visit starts and ends.

2. Public records we use for outreach
To find homes with solar, we use public building-permit records published by cities and counties, public parcel records from county appraisal districts, and U.S. Census statistics for neighborhoods. We use these to decide where to knock doors and mail flyers. We do not call or text anyone from these records.

3. How we use your information
- To price, schedule, perform, and document your service, including sending visit confirmations, reminders, and photo reports.
- To bill you and to send payment links and receipts. These transactional messages are sent whether or not you opt in to marketing.
- To answer your messages and resolve service issues.
- To improve our routes, pricing, and service quality using aggregated, de-identified records.
- To send marketing email or text messages only if you opted in, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Who we share it with
We share your information only with the providers who help us operate, each bound to use it for our service alone:
- Our payment processor, for billing.
- Our email delivery provider, for the messages above.
- Our hosting, database, file-storage, and realtime-messaging providers, who store the records described in section 1.
- Our field technicians and sales staff, who see only the jobs and conversations assigned to them.
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it when the law requires or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

5. Text messages and consent
Visit reminders by text are sent only after you tick the separate text-reminder box at sign-up. Marketing texts require a second, separate opt-in. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Message and data rates may apply. We do not send cold texts to anyone.

6. Photos of your property
Our technicians photograph your panels, windows, and roof before and after every visit, and photograph anything that needs your attention such as damage or animal nests. These photos are part of your service record, are shown to you in your portal and app, and are kept for the life of your account. We do not publish identifiable photos of your home for marketing without your written permission.

7. Your choices
- You can review and update your contact details in the portal, or ask us to correct anything from Support.
- You can opt out of reminder and marketing emails from Support, and out of texts by replying STOP.
- You can ask us to delete your account and records when your service relationship ends; we keep billing records as long as tax law requires.

8. Retention and security
We keep your records while you are a customer and for the period needed afterward for warranty, tax, and dispute purposes. Data is stored with reputable cloud providers in the United States, encrypted in transit, and limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
